The money’s in the list, right?

Over the past few days there’s been a revolution in list building taking place. Russell Brunson has released a new website, The Viral Secret, that allows people to build their lists rapidly, exponentially… And for free!

It’s a very straightforward approach, but one that seems to work. Some people have reported as many as 4k new subscribers in a day! That’s on the extreme side, I think anyone would agree. I seem to be adding between 10 and 20 subscribers a day from the site at the moment (48 hours in), so even if things continue at that rate then we’re talking 300 – 600 subscribers in a month.

However, the way the site works in bringing in people exponentially, I wouldn’t be surprised if I don’t see an improvement on that!

Although the site concept is very simple – it’s difficult to explain in words, but Russell’s put up a 2 minute video to explain how the site works, and it does a much better job than I could do in showing you exactly what happens!

After watching the video, it literally takes another 2 minutes to get up and running, for free! The site is used by the big names too – besides Russell Brunson, I know that Tellman Knudson is using it, Dave Guindon and Jeff Dedrick as well as many others.

As I say – check out the site by clicking here…. You’ve got nothing to lose, and you could literally be seeing your list grow in as little as minutes!!! A bold claim, I know – but not an empty one!

Daily Tasks to Internet Marketing Success & Giveaways!

Daily Tasks to Internet Marketing Success & Giveaways!

As some of my readers will know, time is something that I have little of at the moment, and this has caused me to lose focus occasionally, especially on my IMing efforts – maybe you can identify with this?

A little over a year ago I wrote a report called “Daily Tasks to Internet Marketing Success” and made it available on my blog and on the Warrior Forum. It basically detailed a method for ensuring you can take action and start seeing results, even if your time is stretched like mine can be at the moment.

I hadn’t quite forgotten about the report, but it’s something that I didn’t 100% appreciate the value of until yesterday when I went back and re-read it. I’ve kicked myself as I read back my own words – and realised that I haven’t been following my own advice… And if I had of, I’d have 100’s of articles, links, blog posts and more out there – all generating traffic for me.

I also found that after making the report available in January 2009, I was still getting great feedback and thanks from people almost eight months later… I was gobsmacked, and I’ve got to admit a little bit chuffed. :-)

Yesterday I re-sent out the link to my list – if you’re on it, hopefully you’ve had a chance to grab it I’d love to hear what you think, please leave me a comment (and remember, for every comment made I’ll be donating to Cancer Research UK!).

I want to make the report available to help other people too, but I’ve decided to try a bit of market research… Time will tell if this is the right approach, but as well as making it available widely, I want to help readers of my blog benefit from free products from other marketers too.

Which brings me on to giveaways! I know many fellow students on Alex Jeffreys Marketing With Alex courses have had a huge success growing their lists and growing their businesses through participating in giveaway events.

The premise of it is that these events give away products from lots of marketers for a short period of time. I decided to put my “Daily Tasks to Internet Marketing Success” into a giveaway event.

Whilst this makes the report slightly harder to get (only in reality a few extra clicks away though) – but it means that I can hopefully direct more people to the giveaway event.

The event I’ve chosen is the EZ-IM event – it’s already got 395 contributors and collectively we’re giving away over $10,000 worth of products – all at zero cost – so it’s well worth checking out!!! The event doesn’t launch for just under another 22 hours from when I’m making this post, but it’s well worth heading across to see what will be available when the doors are flung open.

As I say, this approach to making my report available is a bit of market research. I hope it doesn’t put people off having to go through the extra step… But I want to fully support the giveaway event as well as exposing my visitors to a wealth of products.

You can check out the giveaway by clicking here – and maybe you’re an Internet Marketer like myself and would like to join in the giving by adding your own products to the event? If so then please leave me a comment and I’ll see about getting an invite across to you.

What are your thoughts on this approach? I’d love to know!

A Penny for Your Thoughts!

A Penny for Your Thoughts!

I’ve just made what I think is a good decision…. Basically I love getting comments on my blog – giving me feedback on what I post, my actions and our collective journey in Internet Marketing.

Those that comment get the chance to build links back to their blogs, sites and profiles around the Web.

We get to converse together and discuss and debate…

And now I want to encourage visitors that haven’t yet commented – as well as help a charity.

Many of you would have heard the age-old phrase “A penny for your thoughts” – and that’s what I want to do. In 2010, for every good quality comment (that’s any that get approved!), I’m going to donate 1 UK penny to Cancer Research UK…. And I’m also going to go back and include all comments on my blog since it was re-launched in July 2009.

I think this is a win all round – and although it’s not much, as a UK supermarket says, “Every little helps!”.

Maybe other people will join in with the idea too – make it a real community effort? Pick a charity to benefit, post on your blog and lets see how much we can all raise for good causes in 2010, one penny at a time?

What do you think! Let me know by leaving me a comment (and you’ll be raising money for charity too)! :-)

Iain
